Vehicle Junction of Kids

There was a special event organized by the Nursery team of Fountainhead Preschool on the 11^th of September, “VEHICLE JUNCTION”. The concept for the month, the various modes of transports i.e. road (car, truck, bus, auto rickshaw, bicycle, and motorcycle), water (ship, yacht, raft, steamer), air (aeroplane, helicopter, hot air balloon, parachute), emergency vehicles (fire brigade, ambulance, police van) and rail (goods train, passenger train, metro train) were introduced by displaying the above vehicles area wise.

Teachers made a picture of road with zebra crossings & traffic signals & kept all vehicles of road transport on it. There was an In House Visit of an auto rickshaw driver who interacted with children. Theme related rhymes were sung, few of them were

MY BICYCLE

One wheel, two wheels on the ground,

My feet make the pedals go round and round,

Handle bars help me steer so straight,

Down the sidewalk, through the gate.

One of the area in the school was made as a water transport junction where the teachers showed them the ship, steamers, yacht & boat floating in water. They sang along

ROW YOUR BOAT

Row, row, row your boat

Gently down the stream,

Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily,

Life is but a dream.

Teachers also made railway tracks & showed different kinds of trains such as Goods train, metro train, etc. and spoke about railway signals & sang beautiful rhymes in which all students participated & enjoyed a lot.

LITTLE BLACK TRAIN

Little black train, chugging down the track.

First it goes down, and then it comes back.

Chugging black smoke as it goes,

The little black train just grow’s and grow’s.

A runway was made to display the various modes of air transport. Fire brigade, ambulance, police van & helicopters were shown as examples of emergency vehicles that are helpful in rescuing people. Children were heard singing

SEE THE AEROPLANE

See the aeroplane in the sky,

See it flying oh! so high

Over the mountains, over the sea

We’ll go for a ride, mummy, daddy and me.

All in all, the children enjoyed themselves thoroughly & their thirst for knowledge regarding transportation & various modes of transport was also quenched.
