Teachers Day Celebration

5^th Sep birthday of Dr. Sarwapalli Radhakrishnan is celebrated as teacher’s day all over India. Fountainhead Preschool celebrated Teachers Day which was full of activities & games. There was a dress code of Saree for all teachers. The day started with a PLEDGE taken by the teachers to serve their best & give their 100% to kids. There was a game played by all teachers which brought them once again into their childhood. After playing a game one of the teachers gave a speech on teacher’s day. Some of our teachers presented great poems on teachers which engrossed all of them.

Our music teacher played harmonium, our co-ordinator accompanied her by singing a song on GURU (Teacher), which was very melodious to hear. There was laughing & fun which was heard in all corners of the school. There was also a talent round in which all the teachers showed their individual talents which had good humor jokes, dancing, singing & mimicry.

Few of the jokes we giggled on:-

· Child: Mummy, why do you send me to school every day?

Mummy: To make a man out of you.

Child: But my teacher , everyday makes a cock out of me.

Teacher: Tina, what is a formula of water?

Tina: HIJKLMNO

Teacher : Wrong

Tina: You only said yesterday, it’s H to O

All the teachers enthusiastically played Garba in a traditional way. All of them had a great time & enjoyed a lot. After that there was a meal which was also different. They had a chatpata chat item which is favourite of all. Hence, it was a great event held by the school which gave the teachers to explore themselves as well as gave them enjoyment.

Who is a teacher?

A friend, a guardian or only a preacher?

A lovely hand, a gentle touch,

An encouraging smile, which is a must.

So, friends let us salute all the teachers,

Who have gathered here today,

May god bless them & help them to achieve

Whatever they want in life,

Come what may.
